    You can bet on it. They can always address their deficiencies before the trade deadline. There's usually a small-market team looking to dump someone about to become a free agent, and Cashman is usually ready to pounce.

    I suspect they'll make the playoffs, too. I'm not convinced they can overtake Boston, but it's unwise to ever think the Yankees will miss the playoffs.

    Care to share why you say that? I understand its a long season and by no meens do I believe that we got it "wrapped up" but why are the Red Sox not as good as our record indicates? I wont argue about the Yankees and their record as they have had some injuries but #'s dont lie.
