edit: nevermind - guess I coulda looked at the properties of the pic and answered my own question. Been a long time since I've seen the Cure in concert - I'd love to see 'em again sometime. This summer I do get to see both of the acts I've never seen but always wanted to: Rush and Jars of Clay. Taking my 14-year-old daughter with me to both of 'em.
Yup, that was taken back in early 1985 after "the top" album was released. I think this was when his hair was the craziest as seen in The Catepillar video. I was a huge fan of the cure, and I gave up after The Head on The Door album. I have no idea what they did after that. I just happened to stumble upon a photo album today with a bunch of concert pics, so I decided to use that as my avatar. Ah, the good ol days of alternative music and some punk in smaller venues. Found a bunch of old concert ticket stubs too. I've got The Smith's from 1986, The Jesus & Mary Chain with Specimen and The Butthole Surfers at some small dump in 1986....too funny. Here's some stuff that I liked back then.
Here's a couple of Robert Smith:
One of my favorite bands from the 80's....The Church....Steve kilbey & Marty Wilson-Piper were/are gods:
Here's some of Love & Rockets and close ups of Daniel Ash. I was a big Bauhaus fan as well:
Anyone remember Gene Loves Jezebel? Here's some of that glam band:
