Time machine--back to the summer of 1969...

I wanted to share an experience with those of you who may be hopeless baseball romantics like myself. I was editing a group of photos from a Cincinnati Reds/Chicago Cubs game from 1969. That, coupled with some old slides of Chicago (the city), gave me a feeling like I was actually experiencing the game. The photos captured the "feel" of the game in a way few sets have.
This set will help the baseball romantic re-live or experience for the first time, the young Johnny Bench on "The Lead-Off Man", Jim Hickman, Ernie Banks, Pete Rose thrown out and arguing the call after trying to stretch a single into a double, and everyone from beer vendors to overheated fans taking in the sunshine at this Wrigley matinee...
Photos to follow as the day progresses...
Enjoy them. You may want to right-click on them and put them in sequence so you can enjoy a vintage ballgame whenever you darn well please!!!

Hickman has been on fire. Maybe we'll see him homer today?
Ernie Banks is our last Cubs hit of the day...a three-bouncer into left field. It's our last memory of the day at Wrigley Field.
i wish more people could see your photos, truly massive mon~.
