1980/81 basketball- how do I figure these things out??

Hi guys, I have a stack of about 90 cherry 80/81 basketball cards. But I can't figure out what I have!! anyone have a checklist for these things??

or need any for that matter in nm/m to nm/m+?

topps did not make the #ing of the complete cards simple on collectors did they.

To collate my sets I used the card's number of the left side card on the reverse. No, it is not an easy set to figure out because Topps assumed collectors would break the panels apart. There was no checklist that year so the best thing is print off a list. Here is the set registry list from the #2 finest set out there.All the panel combos are listed left to right as they appear on the front of the card.

I am not sure but I seem to remember that there are actually two different ways to put the set in order. That is why (I think) there is a Bird Erving Johnson card and one of someone else with Erving and Johnson. I will see if I can find anything on it and post back if I do.

I suggest cutting them all up and reshuffling them.
