Funny Griffey story LMAO

This is a hillarious story, confirmed by Ken Griffey, Junior's agent, Brian Goldberg this afternoon. It happend at Dodger Stadium on Friday night, a verbal spat between Junior and a fan. Here's a link to the story, that appears on the fan's my space page: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=40172915&blogID=263990044

That is just too funny. I love it! I'm glad some ballplayers are showing a sense of humor these days. I'm sure hecklers can really get under your skin, but things like this can totally turn the tides.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • Man, that was a GREAT story. Thanks for sharing that.

So I'll be the first to ask: Which card company will acquire the jock to make an authentic game USED jock card?

image That's what I was thinking when I read the story. We'll be seeing some unique game used cards in the near future.

Hilarious stuff! A story like this just emphasizes why Griffey is as popular as he is. If only the injuries hadn't derailed his career, he'd be the one chasing the all-time HR record instead of Bonds.

  • I figure griffey has lost enough time to have hit 100 or so Homers due to injury....

We'll never know for sure, but with 100 more homers he'd be around 675 homers and he's still only 37 years old.
