How many cards do I have?

Sorry not a contest, but I'm just curious. Approximately, how many cards are in a 100 pounds? I'm just trying to estimate how many cards I bought at an estate sale... Thanks in advance

    Weigh 1/4 pound of cards.

Count that 1/4 pound of cards.

Multipy that number of cards by 400.

That will tell you how many cards in 100 lbs.

I did a deal with a guy awhile ago and he sent most of the cards in 800 count boxes and he weighed each box and wrote on the box the weight. There was a slight difference from box to box but one 800 count box is roughly 3.5lbs.

I am not good at math but if my figuring is anywhere near close you should have approx 22,856+/- cards.

I have close to 62,000 cards as you can see in my signature. These are all complete sets; not junk commons or whatnot. image

I have sold lots of 10,000 cards and it usually weighs in around 40-45 pounds so if they are all boxed (no binders, etc.) it's probably around 25,000 cards or so. Hope that helps.

And this has what to do with the thread?

    I agree with Barf's estimate.
