My great experience today...
I went to the dodger game today against the reds and had a wonderful experience with one of the Dodgers players and I wanted to share it with you guys. We arrived a couple hours early for batting practice and I was standing field side with my 10 year old sister and saw Dodgers closer taguchi saito stretching near us so we approached and waved hello nicely. I figured he might just wave back and thats it, but he stopped his routine, jogged about 15 yards and came to shake our hands. He was very nice and spoke english very well. HE proceeded to ASK US if we wanted him to sign something for us, so i gave him my ticket stub and he signed it nicely with a black sharpie. Other fans noticed that he signed and proceeded to mob him, he surprisingly signed for about 25 minutes...he was great! I just wanted to share this story with you because in this age of overpaid and spoiled athletes, it was real nice to see a player be nice enough to not only say hello but to ask US if he can sign us something. This was one of my best experiences ever as a fan, and to think i was only there to watch if griffey jr can homer.(which he did!)

Those were the good old days, getting autos from Dusty Baker, Reggie Smith, Rick Monday, Steve Garvey, etc before the Dodger games down the left field line. Great story fredp23! Great to see Jr hit one out and better yet, great to see another Dodger win.
