looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Back in '02-'03 my favorite team had it's captain with a broken leg and was struggling. They came together and decided to "shock" the world. The Championship DVD has several players mentioning shocking the world. Sure enough there was a video clip of a white board in the locker room with the hand gesture drawn followed by "the world." Of course college boys really aren't that much more mature than the 12 year old with Teddy.
<< <i>Now I get it. Big deal --- I'd bet less than 1/10 of one percent of the US population knows what that hand gesture means. >>
I never heard of it either. I was asking some guys I work with and they were all surprised that I had never heard of it. They said it has been around for years. When I would ask the older people, they didn't know what it was. Pretty much everyone under 30 knew what the shocker was. I'd say at least 20% of the US has heard of it.

Just for the tragically unhip like me, what the heck does it mean?
I'd google it, but I don't know what to even type in to get an answer ...
