2007 Heritage Tampered Box at Target

Just bought a Blaster box of 2007 Heritage at Target. The outer wrapper was Topps but had a slit in it. All the boxes they had were this way and since I have never bought a heritage blaster I thought the MAYBE this is how they are sold. I got home and the inside of the box had 1 pack of baseball and 6 packs of 2006 Football Heritage. I decided to open a few packs... The football packs had 2001 Topps baseball cards and the baseball pack had basketball cards in it.

I took it back to Target and they accepted the return without hesitation. The young girl working the returns desk said "let me guess, there were basketball cards inside". I guess they know about this but there are at least 5 more boxes sitting on the shelf.

I went to the local card shop and bought some supplies with the returned money... a little mad at packs today. I might just hold off on retail stuff for awhile. I have a case of A&G waiting for me in July

Sounds like someone figured a way to switch packs out--either brashly in the store or by purchasing them and returning them quickly. I stopped buying packs/boxes from Target because it seemed every time the packs/boxes looked like they were searched--pretty obvious when the 'premium packs that were cardboarded looked like someone pressed something against them to find out what was inside.
