Favorite Set Registry Pickups for May

I have picked up some nice cards so far this month. The first is a 1958 Mazeroski Hires Rootbeer card that is a PSA 7. It is very high end for the grade, I may send it back in actually. I like the cards W/O the tab better due to eye appeal and the holder isn't the size of an Easter Island statue. The other two Steeler RCs are from Shoudlabeena10's collection.

Awesome Matherson Portrait 2. I just sold a Johnson Portrait 2 on ebay. Thanks on the Bradshaw, its awesome in person. We sold the Johnson portrait to buy a Cobb PSA 4 Red.

morgoth - I LOVE the Greene and Bradshaw. Something about 71's in PSA 8 or better...they just look gorgeous!

Thanks, they were bought sight unseen from shoudlabeena10 or Mike. I actually have thought about doing the set. I have a few HOFs in PSA 8 already. I had the whole set at one time raw.

Nice Matty. I think it was a pretty good price too. Alot of the times you can get a decent deal on the T206's that come in that kind of holder. I just recently did the same thing with an Addie Joss portrait. (the one above) image

Bri Thanks, yeah the I love picking up the oddball items more than the mainstream issues. It's like finding a holy grail. Asphaltman, I have really gotten into the T205 and T206s recently with my father. I love picking up these in 2-4 grade because all I need to worry about is eye appeal. When I buy PSA 8's and 9's I am super critical to centering and print defects. I am much more likely to sell an 8 or 9 with a minor defect than a T206 missing paper on the back.
