1952 racks

...are fake. Sad. I spoke with this seller nukerous times and he acknowledges they are not from Topps. I reported his auctions last time for keyword spamming in Title as its says wax, tray and ebay pulled all of them. Well he's back.

It's extremely misleading, bordering on fraud, to claim that a "MINT" card is even possible from these "holiday" racks. The condition of the cards in these racks is EX-MT at best, and Topps had no involvement with the packaging of these "after market" racks.

Excuse my ignorance here but, what is the deal with those then? Did the seller make the package? Is it a novelty item?

No one is exactly sure when these holiday racks were packaged (some say the 1960s, some say the 1970s, some say last week, lol) , as they were not authentic Topps products, though the cards themselves are genuine. They are not "pack fresh" racks, though, by any means, as the cards inside them are in EX-MT condition at best and some say even worse than that.

crazy money, but still fun to watch. cant say that the seller is very honest though.

the Snider gotta be a $500 card? and Lepcio is a HI nUmber....i'd love to rip it open. lol

I think it's funny that the two cards that he talks about the price of them mint (Lepcio, Snider) are badly OC.

Why anyone would bid on an auction with a seller's feedback of less than 99.8% (let alone 98.5%) is beyond me. Not to mention the scam that are the Christmas racks.

But one of his last customers pulled a PSA 7 Campanella so it's got to be a great investment right? image

    "From Santa" indeed...

Looks like one of the rats in "grandma's basement" chewed on a corner of that Snider.

I know some people have been "recreating" these "Christmas racks" recently. Wonder if that is the case here?

Indeed. Especially since in all these years I've never even seen a '52 "Holiday" rack for sale till now. In my previous post, this would fall under the "last week" category for fabrication. image
