are Franklin Mint Collectors Society medals made of silver?

Sorry, don't have a picture available right now. But most likely you have run across these tokens - medals before. These are tokens that were given? to Charter Members of the Franklin Mint Collectors Society; on one side are those words and a picture of Franklin. On the other side is an emblem of the Franklin Mint. These typically have dates on them, around 1970 to 1975 time frame. Around the size of a quarter, maybe a little larger.

I have a group of these that are gold plated proof condition, with reeding. Some have told me that these are sterling silver that are gold plated... however, I cannot seem to verify that. Anyone have any knowledge of these? Thanks....
