It is a Chinese Imperial (Dragon Type)

    Hupeh Province

Minted for provisional use between 1894-1907

    It is Silver

Without knowing the diameter it is going to be either Y#124.1, 125, 125.1, 126 or 127

  • The denomination 7 Mace and 2 Candareens makes it a Dollar, km127.1 Almost positive it is a reproduction, many of the characters aren't matching Krause.
  • Hey, Thank's guy's,

I don't know if it's a repro or not??? I guess weighing it will help. I'll try looking up those KM Number's , I have found that trying to distinguish some of the character's in Chinese is like trying to read Japanese upside down, left to right and backward's I bought it for less than an oz. of silver.

    Thank's again, ozzysdad........

The English says Hubei province but the Chinese on the other side says Qinghai province. This looks fishy to me. Qinghai was not a province at that time. I'd say, "fake."

A product of one of the Chinese fantasy/counterfeit/replica/scam factories; and definitely not one of the better class examples. image

I kind of like it, as counterfeits go. I like the anachronistic use of "Qinghai Province."

I had a bunch of this type of Chinese counterfeits at one time that I got for cheap but they went missing image

There certainly are a lot of them floating around.
