It's that point in the season where.....

A small market team looks like they might contend, but then as the All Star break approaches, they slowly start to fade away. It's usually the Twins, Royals or Padres, but this year we have someone different. Here's to you, Brewers. Fun team to watch (I've always really liked Geoff Jenkins especially) and I hope they can keep it up, but history says differently.

Look at the Washington Senators they held a lead right up to the All-Star break and then faded, I think the Brewers will do the same.

not so fast, here....the only team in that division that can compete with them is the Cubs...everyone else is junk...they've got some great front end of the rotation pitching and their bullpen is fantastic...no reason to think they won't there at the end, imho...

plus, Peter Gammons picked them before the season to win the division, and that's good enough for me.

I didn't realize Gammons picked them. Even an older broken-down Gammons knows more about baseball than everyone on these boards combined. I remember in 1991 he picked just about everything right, including Bagwell who was virtually unknown for ROY.
