Jorge Chavez was the first man to fly over the Alps, I believe. Unhappily, he died a few days after crash landing.

What is the size and material of that Peruvian Aviation League medal, and is it part of a series honoring Peruvian aviators or a stand-alone?
My peruvian newps: two varieties of the 1923 Sol, and they're both nicely toned too.
As for the medal, it appears to be silver, it is about 22.5 mm and as far as I know, it is stand-alone.
My Peruvian neighbor upstairs says that Chavez is a big hero there.
