What's 'AP'?

What does 'AP' signify on this coin?

    It's the mintmaster's initials, Alexander Redko (P = cyrillic R), mintmaster from 1901-1905.

    I don't know Russian coinage by any means, and I am going on memory here... But, I think the AP refers to the mintmasters initials. I am sure someone will say for sure before I get home but if not I will look at a Krause and let you know for sure later on today...

    Amazing that you could literally buy a handful of those in problem free unc for $45 each at my local coin shows just 4 years ago. A local dealer would also have piles of 7.5 rouble and 15 rouble gold pieces also. For a relatively common coin, the price has sure escalated.
