Standing room only! Or everybody is getting a beer.
#LetsGoSwitzerlandThe Man Who Does Not Read Has No Advantage Over the Man Who Cannot Read. The biggest obstacle to progress is a habit of “buying what we want and begging for what we need.”You get the Freedom you fight for and get the Oppression you deserve.
You gotta just love all those 1975 card color combos! they are so (You know? Like, "poo poo" brown with "butternut squash" orange or how about "lip stick/ruby red grapefruit" red with "butternut squash" orange? Or even "whorehouse" pink with "sour lemon" yellow, yikes!)
Ok! Ok! Whorehouse pink? Well, just maybe a bit over the top for all those 1975 macho baseball types?
P.S. But I think we all could have done without that "tangerine" with "squash" color combination! (Boy! I need an alka seltzer just looking at that color combo! LOL!)
<< <i>My favorite's a mini - I traded half my table at a small show for it - I think I got the better deal!
I sent it to PSA last year - and came back a 9!!! I was very happy.

edit: I have an extra $500 looking 4 a home! LOL! (My guess, it is worth 3 times that much, or if resubmitted to PSA, God knows what a 10 would fetch?)
Keep it up guys, and I might just break down and buy me my very own NRMT/MT 1975 set for this Christmas season. It's the only time I'll have any chance to spend the $400-$500 neccesary to get a top grade set.
Here is one from my Mint raw set. I should send it in but I have had this one for a long time. For some odd reason I like my ungraded set better than the one I'm working on.
<< <i>Here is one from my Mint raw set. I should send it in but I have had this one for a long time. For some odd reason I like my ungraded set better than the one I'm working on. >>
Probably cuz it's easier to enjoy in binder/pages, right? BTW, if you are in the mood to sell it come Christmastime, I would gladly offer the full $500 BV if it is in fact MINT conditon throughout.
Also, is it just me, or do the OPC colors look bolder than the Topps colors? Is there a reason for that?
one of my favorite cards from the set. sorry for the lousy pic-- i don't have a scanner. near-perfect centering, razor corners, awesome color and sharp focus. card looks alot nicer than the image indicates. IMO the tiny print dot at the bottom kept it from being a possible 10..
<< <i>Also, is it just me, or do the OPC colors look bolder than the Topps colors? >>
I think that's true. It really noticable in Bri's post when you look at the Munson cards side by side. I have no idea why, other than they usually use brighter white cardboard.

i agree. it's definitely true. i also have a 75 O-Pee-Chee Ryan PSA 9 and the color is alot bolder. will try to get a pic posted. though w/o having a scanner the pics won't do much justice.
another *horrible* image. sorry, i really need a scanner. trust me, the color on this one looks almost dripping wet. bolder and darker than the topps card.
recommendation on scanners, buy a stand-alone scanner if you have the ability.
combo fax/scanner/printers are ok, but the picture quality from a stand-alone scanner vs a combo scanner is very difft.
i bought an epson v100 photo scanner for $125 and it rocks. it has slide holders for negatives and can manages images up to like 3200 x 3500, which is really nice.

That one is cool! But I'm partial to the action shots. I heard the 75 set is scarce on action shots compared to the other sets from the 70's.
I sent it to PSA last year - and came back a 9!!! I was very happy.
