Gary promised a refund and didn't send it...

I still didn't get a refund from Gary after he told me to send the cards back. I have the tracking number for sending 80's basketball unopened packs back to him. What do you recommend I do? He's not answering my emails either after cards were sent back.

thanks, john

I'm in the same boat. Tried to PM him and email, never heard a word. Very disappointing that he chose to refund some people's money but not others.

I say bring whatever proof you can to the national...see if he is actually supid enough to show up...and do whatever you can to get the dough from him right there and then. Don't accept "come back tomorrow and I'll have it for you"...otherwise, I feel you get a free shot at clocking him one.

umm, wow. I'd gotten through 40 years of life without having heard of a Cleveland Steamer, but now I have not only heard of it, but thanks to Wikipedia I even know what it is. I'm pretty sure I could have made it through the rest of my days without said info. Some people are just plain warped.

Mr rbdjr1--I'm really sorry to disappoint you , but I have never voted for either of the Bush clowns. Liars are liars , even if they are republican or democrats. If you think the lies that you listed about you boy Bill, is his worst lies, All I can say is that I really thought you were more intelligent than that. I truely stand corrected. Liberalism vs conservativism is nothing more than trying to construct law and order with no referance point of morality.

I still hate liars anyway, no matter where the source .

    LOL.....check this out...
What Did The Democrats Say About Iraq's WMD
    JANUARY 30, 2004 | Printable Version

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
    - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003 | Source

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
    - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002 | Source

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
    - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998 | Source

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
    - President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998 | Source

"We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction."
    - Madeline Albright, Feb 1, 1998 | Source

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
    - Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998 | Source

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
    Letter to President Clinton.
    - (D) Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, others, Oct. 9, 1998 | Source

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
    - Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998 | Source

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
    - Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999 | Source

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them."
    - Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002 | Source

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
    - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 | Source

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
    - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 | Source

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
    - Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002 | Source

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
    - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002 | Source

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
    - Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002 | Source

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
    - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002 | Source

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
    - Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002 | Source

It isn't that difficult if you know where to look, to find old stationary, envelopes and such like that. Then a forger can simply sign the paper. An old scam which obviously, unfortunately still works.

Frankly, sorry to give you my opinion, but that's a terrible looking fake Ruth - there are much better fakes out there than that.

Yea . . . Plus my own ignorance indeed and also I have a few authentic Ruth signatures and it looked dead on to me ?
Also there werre a few guys in the store sayin, well if he don't take it , I'm going to , So I did it .
The thought of letting this get away from me for 3 grand was just too much honestly , but in the end . . . . the rest is history .
Rest assured though, I would never try to get rid of this on anyone else and as proof , I post it here .
    Besides . . . . Most of my friends don't know it is a forgery , for what that's worth .
And Mr 1989 thanks . . . I fully expected to get my nose rubbed in it as soon as I posted how I was fooled .
It's all good , If I can help prevent this happening to anyone else in the future . . . I suppose it's worth something , even if it isn't in the monitary fashion .

1 thing though about it and what brought me to believe it has to be authentic , I saw the envelope , with the date and the discoloration and just figured , who the heck would keep this in such decent condition if it weren't authentic and I based a majority of my decision to buy just on that alone .
I really had no idea .

Hey - these con artists are very clever...they fool lots of people. Especially if they are in a position of trust or perceived trust. Four summers ago I visited Cooperstown with the fam, and after visiting the Hall, I basically scoured the local card shops which are within easy walking distance of the Hall. First shop I walk into, there's a Mantle-Maris autographed poster hanging on his wall with a price tag of $1,500. I swear - I had never seen such fake looking autographs in my life...I mean it was so obvious the same person signed both autos - LOL. But of course this POS weasel card dealer is in a position of trust to the average tourist, owning a card shop and all right in Cooperstown, so he must be legit, right? But what are you gonna do?...call the police and point out an obvious fraud? - The police chief is probably the guy's brother-in-law - LOL. So I was just angry knowing he's gonna scam some tourist and I was in the mood to F* with him a little bit. So I conversed with him for a few minutes, and offered him $800 for it...it was fun to hear him come up with "the story" how he hates "giving it away" but yes he would take the $800. I told him I just have to okay it with the wife...and walked out of that stinkin' scammer's card shop.

Honestly that was how I based I'd have to say a good 80 % of my trust .
The guy was in a set location , everyone looked happy , he obviously wasn't going anywhere , I could always bring it back ?
I was sure as heck this guy couldn't have been dealing in forgeries or he must have been caught by now .
let me just say , I have viewed at least 200 or more Ruth sigs before I visited this place and it looked dead on to me , I was sure I was getting the better of the deal .
    until later .
I'm certain I'm not alone , it just really stinks because I would never do that to anyone .
I do business with a handshake and my word is my bond and anyone that knows me knows that to be fact .
I'm not meaning this to sound like crying over spilled milk at all either , just a " I had this happen to me to kinda thing , in hopes that anyone within eye shot of this just be a little more careful than me , these scammers can feel the excitement in your facial expressions , I'm certain of it . . . But Steve ?!!!
Thanks for gettin even ^ 5
You get even for all .
My one wish is that I could see this person just one more time
And I'll just leave it at that .
