I saw this one and it reminded me of Seinfeld were George takes his boss's picture to have himself airbrushed out, but the photo guy ends up airbrushing out George's boss, then he redraws him in looking like a cartoon character. The helmet on this card looks way to cartoonish.

Airbrush in a uniform and overlay it on a fuzzy batting cage scene ~*poof*~ you have a baseball card…

LOL
This sprang immediately to mind when I read this thread title:
Terrible card of a fine player.
They even airbrushed Macarthur's ear!

Reminds me of a 1952 Topps card.
Lightning bolts taken off sholders AND helmet ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"

I agree, always been a huge Fouts fan. A 10 went on ebay a month or so ago for alot of $$
<< <i>I think the air brush artist was trying for a parody on his name.

I had never noticed the shoulders before. A few years later and they would have had to do the pants, too.

Because "A" is for "Airbrush"

<< <i>That Mahovlich card is hilarious. >>
I don't have any of those cards but it looks like they just stuck Frank's head on someone else's body. I'll bet there is another card in the set with the "whole" player.

Honeycutt looks like Michael Waltrip. Or vice versa.
hahahaha
also it looks as if the 1966 bob friend card has his face superimposed on someone else's body...
The worst part is that as an Oriole fan, they completely eliminated the only card with Reggie as an O.
Does anyone have a photo of the prototype card before the airbrush job?
