Another cool newp - 1916 portugal Escudo.

I like this coin even more than I thought I would. Also thought it would be smaller! It's no MS65 but I think I did good for $35.

I love the design, Once again another coin that doesn't fit in my scheme of things but I wouldn't turn down if I found one~!

What is the backdrop in your pics? I thought wood or concrete from the Obverse, then maybe a fur or carpet from the reverse!

It is a piece of driftwood. Does it work, or should I find something else?

The green fuzzy thing is a placemat! My "photo studio" is our dinner table. You should hear the wife give me crap about that. image

It keeps the coins from sliding out and falling.

Awesome! Those too often don't come in their original skin image

    And darn good price!

If I may now engage in some Shameless Self-Promotion, I've got a nice matching 1915 10 centavos for sale if anyone's interested image

You did very well for $35, even if it's an MS61-62. Most true uncirculated coins of that type sell for at least $75.

Remember the size of the image you are seeing... beautiful example and I would grade 63... minimum

Solid example you have there. For the money, you did very well in my opinion.

35$ is a great price for this coin, and a MS65 for this type will be very hard to find, the "dings" on the obverse are the norm for this type...
