pride of the yankees ball

Can Anyone tell me what the best way to sell a ball from the movie pride of the yankees?
Autographs include: Babe Ruth, Bill Dickey, Babe Herman, Gary Cooper, Teresa Wright,
Walter Brennan, Sam Wood, & Eleanor Gherig. Ruth's signature is on the sweet spot and the ball
is mounted on a block with pride of the yankees printed on it.
Also, Any idea of what it could be worth? Ball is in very good shape. Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the boards, I think a picture/scan of the ball would help for people to get a better idea of what you are talking about.

Oh . . that's right , you said yours was in very good shape .
    They'll probably get 700 for this ball I would imagine , sigs are like a 2-3 , that's pretty neglected .

  • I'll try and post a picture soon. The only autograph that is somewhat faded is gary coopers. Ruth's signature is almost the most prominent one. The ball was dedicated to a script writer for the movie which reads: For Grace Baughman, with much appreciation....Eleanor Gherig.
The ball is also mounted on a block that represents a sanding block. It's black in color. On one side it says "pride of the yankees" And on the other side it says: compliments of Christy Walsh...which from what I understand was some representitive of Ruth's.

Walsh was business manager (now called an agent) for Ruth and Gehrig.
