Deal gone bad - looking for pity

Put some cards up for sale. Had a buyer say he'll take some via email, please send an invoice and he will pay via paypal. I sent a paypal $$$ request to same email. Prospective buyer shoots back that my paypal notifies his partner and said partner disaproves - wished I had only dealt with him. Cancels deal.

I am apologetic but I think I'm missing something? image

Don't know - maybe a business partner or other.

Sorry Wondo. Sounds like a man who was creative in his backing out excuse. To his credit at least he told you he wasn't going to pay even if it was a round about way of trying to deflect blame.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

If this was a BST "deal," it is not uncommon.

I have done some very smooth deals on the BSTs,
and some have fallen through. Buyers on EBAY
seem to be more interested in completing transactions.

Probably cuz they know they'll get a bad feedback as well as a deadbeat bidder strike if they don't.
