1974 Quarter Lamination Error with Edgeview™ pics

Here is a cool 1974 Quarter with a lamination error. The flashlight cone method works better than I thought it would for taking Edgeview™ pics.

    It's actually a "defecting clad layer",
    rather than a lamination.

    A laminination is an improper metal-mixture of the planchet strip.

    Since the copper core and the outer clad layer are bonded
    together, and not "mixed", like a normal cent or nickel or
    silver coin, the copper core is exposed due to the improper
    bonding of the two metals, not an improper mixture of the
    metals....
