I love this coin. What do you think? I also love the fact that I can buy a 123 year old uncirculated coin with a mintage of 30,000 for under $200.
What would you grade it?
With these pics I also just noticed what appears to be a large die crack near the rim on the date side from 3 o'clock to around 5 o'clock.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

That is my main love of the darkside. Try buying a lightside coin with that mintage, in that condition, without adding at least one more zero to that figure (or maybe more than one)!

As something I don't collect, it falls into the category of WOWZERS (I have quite a few of those)! It is good a good looking coin and while it doesn't fit in my collection per se, if I didn't find anything else for my collection and I had the extra cash I would probably pick it up just because...

The best part is, we don't even have to keep it a secret. Surely some have noticed that there is a world coin forum here!
I would have to give lordmarcovan partial credit for turning me to the darkside.
Well, another nice thing about the Darkside is that is so vast, there is plenty of room for fresh faces. The more the merrier.
That's not the same Lugano piece you posted some time ago, or is it?
Wow, that is awesome. Looks nice n' frosty. Can't tell from the pix if it is a true UNC or a slider. If an UNC, I wouldn't go more than 62 on it, but it is sweet looking.

A Beauty of a Piece, You should try the Farside. In The Medals side of collecting the populations are most often under 1000 and the prices can be in the 50 - $100 range. I have several shooting medals in my Lions collection. Not the kind that hang on ribbons but ones like this French shooting Silver medal. I believe it will be the next step for the serious collector.IMHO. I am seeing more and more medals displayed here than there where when I first got here. Beauty Rarity and a real good price. Can't be more pleased than that
