Thinking of cross grading this GAI 3.5 Mantle '52

What is your opinion of how it would cross grade at PSA? In person, it looks as good as most PSA 4's i've seen. Do you think it's worth a try? I hope the pictures will appear.

  • Tough to tell with out a scan... However I have found very few GAI cards cross to any reputable grading company (PSA/SGC). Lots of questionable cards in GAI slabs....

    I agree with LW.

I have submitted (2) GAI cards to PSA, one a 62 Topps GAI 8 submitted as a crossover and a 1962 Topps GAI 7.5 cracked and submitted.

These were high end 1962's and both came back as altered/trimmed/miniszreq.
  • My honest opinion - sell it and buy a PSA, even at a lower grade. I also had a bad experience with a GAI graded card - trimmed...

It seems like it would be worth the $50-$100 to cross the card if it will cross. I'm sure a PSA 3 would sell for a premium to a GAI 3.5. Let alone what a PSA 4 would do compared to the GAI card.
