I have obtained a copy of the Hawaii Five O episode "The $100,000 Nickel". It has about a three minute time that is not of the best quality, but the rest of the copy is fine. I have a number of copies to distribute to any forum member who wants one. I will mail it and you can move it along to another member if you want to. The episode is only on DVD. Please PM me if you want me to send you a copy. I ony have about 10.

I assume this was about the 1913 Liberty nickel.

We've come a long way since then, eh?

Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

That episode I believe is circa 1972. Coin prices and the whole numismatic world has changed a lot since then.

I remember seeing that episode back then in High School.

    Thanks.

Reminds me of not to long ago I was watching an old "Dragnet" episode (mid 1960's). Sgt Friday and Ofc Ganon were driving through Beverly Hills as the camera showed homes that today would be worth many millions of dollars. Ofc Ganon shakes his head and says these homes are worth over $100,000.....
