1889 Morgan minor clash - is this a VAM??

StrikeOutXXXStrikeOutXXX Posts: 3,352 ✭✭✭✭✭
Another auction win from today - doesn't match exactly to anything I'm seeing on vamworld, maybe it's too worn to see much. I know not all clashes are VAMs, but figured I'd ask.

The clashing is in the crook near the base of the cap about 4:00 or so.

There has to be at least a partial letter transfer from one side to the other in order for the clash to count as a distinct VAM. Look for a partial 'In' in front of the neck and a partial 'st' behind the hair.
  • The clash coming out of her throat suggests there might be a clashed 'n' farther down the neck.
In that case it could be one of several VAMs.

I'm letterless - thanks for checking though, perhaps when this was MS it may have shown more, but not now.

Thanks dieabolical, I agree, that site is awesome. Rarely do I not find what I'm looking for (when I know what I'm looking for) except the few that aren't listed or without pics/descriptions.

Actually, you look at the opposing clash of the neck up from the right wing. If it goes through a motto letter, there is an excellent chance of finding that partial letter along the neck below the wing clash. The roation is right in this case for an n clash. The clash doesn't appear strong enough to transfer though; the clash doesn't reach the n.
