opinions on sending this proof trade dollar to NCS

This TD is in a PCGS PR64 holder, but the toning, or streaks, or haze, or whatever is distracting to me. It has a fairly brilliant blue tone that is mostly covered by the brownish looking streaks on both sides. It's not a dull coin the surfaces are mirror like, but they don't show up in the photographs. I can't detect any hairlines or hits, but there does appear to be a carbon spot on each side.

Anyone have an opinion on whether or not it would be worthwhile sending this off to NCS in an attempt to get rid of the streaks and improve the overall appearance? I would hate to have it come back PR63 or worse, but I wouldn't complain if it upgraded.

I'd suggest asking a couple of experts to look at the coin in person before you make up your mind.

I too would be tempted to NCS that piece, but scared of the potential downside.

Tough call. Nice enough coin as-is, but I can understand the temptation to "conserve" it.

Too rich a gamble for my blood, though. I think I would probably end up selling it off if it distracted me too much, and using the proceeds to buy something more to my liking.

    Two options:

    1. Just sell the coin and buy one you like; or

    2. Listen to MrEureka and have an in hand review of the coin by one or two experts
