Forum Glossary?

I have been reading this forum for a couple of years now but have been unable to decipher some of the lingo used.
This is making it very hard for me to lurk properly...

I was able to figure out AT = "artificial toning", NT="natural toning", ASE = silver eagle, etc.
But some things are going over my head, such as "Troll alert", "Kool Aid", and some others.

Can anyone explain what these mean? Are these standard to all forums or just this one?

I believe that a lot of these are inside jokes from previous threads and
now they have become parts of inside jokes. (e.g. the smoe thing...)

I figure that if I stay around long enough, we'll have some inside jokes
of our own to snicker about...

Here's to old, departed buddies that we've all come to know over the
years, but we've never met or even seen pictures of...

There were people that I worked with on projects that lasted for 2
years or more at a time. We never met. All transactions were done
via email, phone or fax. (Didn't have VPN's yet)

But we had a lot of fun on the phone and working on computers...

Troll Alert is to watch out for spammers or users that are trying to get under other users skin and just want to provoke conflict.

Kool-Aid. Is in reference to the JonesTown massacre. Its about people blindly following another user.........

Really?? I always thought it referred to kool aid drinkers, or ultra-liberal snits.. You know, like "peanut butta jelly time-peanut butta jelly time" I guess it could have different meanings to different folks, depending on their expereiences around here

"Smoe" originated from a typo in a thread called "Can smoebody tell me what TTT means?" It got repeated a bit, then a month or two later smoebody else used it and it took off from there.

I think peanut butta jelly refers to a car ... Peanut butta refers to the leather interior and Jelly refers to the exterior paint I believe. Of course the Family Guy skit is funny too.
