I agree, however, with these details and w/o the porosity the value would have been about 10-20 round trips to St Louis w/hotel and I wouldn't be owning it...Doug Bird would have had it there pitching it to RYK...
It's this unwillingness to accept porosity that keeps a lot of collectors from approaching copper. It'll be interesting to See RYKs purchases. I know Hoot is OK with porousity (at the right price) but I'm guessing RYK will eschew it.
Oh, I agree with you. Willingness to accept porosity can lead to a much better detailed coin at a much lower price. Not arguing that. And, there are levels of porosity. If it doesn't really interfere with the details/look of the coin, then that is a much easier thing to handle.

The only thing I don't like is the porosity.
That's a personal hangup I have on coins, particularly older copper.
I do like the fact it is a 1794 though, especially with such nice details!
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
