I figure some kinda post mint damage but not sure what would do this without damaging a lot more of the coin.

Good question...only thing I could think of would be something like holding it with a pair of pliers or something up to a buffing wheel.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    It's been filed.

This can sometimes happen if the coin just happens to be dragged on something but
when it's both sides it was probably intentional. They sometimes are filed for use as
    a screwdriver.

Odd that it has been filed that perfectly to leave most of the fields untouched. I can see it is circulated well but I just thought it odd that there seems little or no damage to other parts of the coin. Thanks for the info.

  • I think it rode on an escalator.
  • clothes dryer. I've seen them come right out of the drier like that. Also, cents that many people still call spooned usually are damaged in a commercial clothes drier as well.

    Thanks,

Could have been stuck in a coin counter for quite some time.
