Shared Grade Page

Just got back from a track meet and decompressing a bit . . . took my daily look at the Shared Page. I've been interested as I have a couple grading orders in process and just wanted to see if I could spot any 'trends' of sorts. My observations . . . albeit on a small (but the only visible) study sampling:
1.) It appears that Sacs, Eagles, Geo. Washingtons, San Fran Mint, Buff Dollars, and 20th Anniversary stuff controls about 75% of the visible submissions at this time. In other words . . . the PCGS "Modern" department is getting worked like a rented mule.
2.) Submitters of anything other than Moderns are getting creamed. A couple of the noteworthy bombs have been posted here already, but a lot of these are showing 50% BB for cleaning, tooling, altered, etc. Maybe we need a "screening" service or tips posted here. It seems a lot of people have a lot of cha-ching to spend on grading without a lot to show for it. If it happened to me my wife would stop my submissions NOW.
3.) OK . . how does someone submit one lone Phillippine 10c. . . . or an AU58 pair of 1900 and 1897 dollars . . . or a 1968-S and 1970-S Sm. Dt. . . .without hitting the 5 coin minimums? These people are paying $50 a shot to get grades on junk bowl stuff? I don't get it . . . I sweat to get 5 coins to make the minimums. I guess I could send in a lone 1958 proof cent, but I'd want it to be muled with a Memorial reverse before I paid $50. Perhaps I'm reading the Submission Page wrong?
4.) I'm going to Long Beach in a month. I wonder how many tables will have stacks of modern slabs? There must be enough of the Sacs, Geo. Washingtons, and Eagles to have their own gravity field down there. More power to those who like those (I've bought a few cheapy late-date slabs required for Registry Type), but I'm amazed at the power this new branch of numismatics has acquired!
Oh well . . . my first post of about 500 where I actually stated an observation. Pretty radical for me . . . usually you just get the standard "Nice coin. I like the originality."
Oh . . . 42.40 in the 4x100 Relay today. May have to give the guys a coin momento!
