Have to recommend this book on non-sports tobacco cards...

I've found myself becoming more and more interested in non-sports tobacco cards lately, and I found this book on eBay last week for about $15 and snatched it up. It arrived yesterday, and I've barely put it down since.





I'm sure many of you probably already have it or have seen it (the copyright date is 1999), but I wanted just wanted to put out this recommendation to those who haven't. (I found it just by accident as I was looking up some cards on eBay.)

Great write-ups, photographs and checklists for some 600 sets... The prices are out of date, but I'm sure I'm going to wear this thing out as a reference and as just-for-fun reading. Great book.

Forbes & MItchell is the bible - it's available most everyday on ebay and it's a must for N & T nonsports collectors.

This is a great book, and every serious tobacco card collector should have one.
Nice pictures and great writeups.
A wealth of information.
Forbes & Mitchell know their stuff.

Believe it or not, they even give their e-mail addresses in the back of the book, and they do answer their e-mails.
I had some questions on a rare UNCUT sheet of Tobacco Queens that I have listed in my eBay store.
They gave me the information I needed on exactly what they were, and their history.

That's actually the paperback. Not sure if it's any different from the hardcover. I don't imagine so.
