certification number on holders

If and when selling on ebay, is it necessary or expected to list the coin with the certification number or is this not a good idea
Thank you

As a bidder, I want to see the whole slab in a photo and then close-ups of the coin. At least that way I can verify the coin on the PCGS website. Some people worry that the cert# will be stolen and entered into their registry set when they don't own the coin. You can avoid that by keeping the coin # in your inventory on the PCGS site until sold. (I'm assuming here that it's a PCGS coin.) Nothing is foolproof, but I get a little worried that something is being hidden if I don't see the whole slab.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

It's not necessary, but it can help bidders if they want to verify the cert number.

Nobody can steal the cert # if you put it into your inventory. It does not have to be ented into a set, just being in there makes the number unusable by others.
PS. it is the sellers responsibility to delete it when sold if you don't BJ will send you a nasty gram.

  • I bought into the paranoia (I am a Newb, you see) and blocked mine.

Out of roughly 100 PCGS coins I've sold in the last six months, only one bidder has asked for confirmation.

Take from that what you will.
