EBAY # 190106557979 PSA 8 ????????"WHAT"

What does everyone think of this card? It looks like it has problems all over. Does anyone think the sides measure up? It doesn't look like it would grade, let alone an "8" If someone can post a link that would be good. This card leaves me shaking my head. I wouldn't pay the grading fee for it. I could be wrong but I don't think so. image

Am I missing something, its a PSA 8, it looks clean. Are you saying it doenst look like it should have been graded that, OC maybe?

Give Levi a shout out, he will pull the card down and destroy it probably.

  • What's with the large print mark/stain starting at the lower left of the picture and going up about an inch, inch and a half. Or is my computer screen in need of cleaning?

Looks like a trim job to me, look at the top left of the card. Not to mention the print defects, looks like it got water on it.
  • Even PRO wouldn't be so bold as to holder that piece.

Yeah, the upper left edge of the card looks more than just a bit "off", along with whatever happened on the bottom left... is that moss growing there?

Looks like a factory miscut with some print jizz. I would expect that a miscut of that magnitude would have kept it out of a holder. The print jizz is piling on.

  • 1. No one is going to trim a card to make it look worse. Card is cut that way -- would be perfectly centered if the theoretical culprit didn't decide to do the worst trim job in the history of card collecting.

    2. Hard to say what that is on the bottom L of the card. Could be a print defect but it could also be a host of other things.

Hey Stone, doesn't that name sound familiar to you? Like a British cover band singer or something??

What do you do with a drunken grader?

Card was shaved with a rusty razor
  • Or maybe it was originally graded a 7 PD, and through a series of crackout and resubmits, it was upgraded and the qualifier removed. I recall a thread here last night where members were boasting about getting qualifiers removed, presumably so they could pass the turd on to someone else without mentioning it. The glory of plastic. Nice one.
