An Ebay clown's question and my response

BarryBarry Posts: 10,100 ✭✭✭
I have my 1873-CC dime on Ebay, starting price $12K.

Clown's question:
Q: would you take 65.00 for this coin?

My response:
A: Yes. Please include $11960.00 for shipping and handling.

I hope ebay doesn't think this is fee avoidance image

It is possible that the buyer added the . and meant $6,500 which would be reasonable....one never knows....

Agreed...I would have replied "did you mean $6,500" and engage the person that way.

Maybe $6500 is reasonable to you, Jon. If so, please don't make an offer on the coin image

Maybe the offer was pounds sterling or euros? image

jgrinz - sorry, but I already deleted the original message, so I don't have his id. He made a silly, ultralowball offer - not that big a big deal. I'm not blocking him for that. I just posted it for the humor value, not to warn anybody about him.

Seems like some people spend all day making lowball offers on coins. Maybe it pays off now and then.
