OT - NFL Draft and underclassmen

I am in a Dynasty Fantasy football league where you keep your entire roster each year and only draft rookies. I am working on my draft picks and have looked at some mock drafts online. I have seen about a dozen declared underclassmen not drafted in any of the mock drafts. Why would you declare if you were not good enough to get drafted? I know some kids have been kicked out of school but there has to be another reason??

A lot of players can go in the supplemental draft, or picked up as free agents after the draft.

$$$$$$$$$$$. even a 7th round pick makes more than most college drop outs.

I was pushing more towards the idiot that knows he won't get drafted. Just trying to get their mindset

Happens a lot in the NBA as well. Just misguided advice. Agents, family members, coaches, the media....bad sources telling them they are good enough to get drafted, when in reality they should stay in school and get that college degree. We're dealing with 19-20 year olds...the lure of a career in the the pros is big....reality is perception and the perspective they're getting from their nearest and closest souces is that they're hot enough to get drafted.
