Question about ebay auctions

It's Thursday...options are...
3 day auction ending Sunday evening
5 day auction ending Tuesday evening
7 day auction ending Thursday evening
10 day auction ending next Sunday evening(additional posting fee)

Which would you choose and why?

  • What are you selling? High grade stuff I may keep longer to gain exposure and cards like ARod or something I may go for 3 days to strike while the iron is hot

    seven.

You need seven days to ensure that most potential bidders can see it. Although 10 days is nice, as it gives you an additional weekend, I generally find it doesn't help, as most buyers will see your listing within a week.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

    7. 10 if it's a rare item with small pool of potential bidders. As stated above you need time for people to do their searches so you get lots of watchers. More watchers means more bids and more bids means more dough for you!

    usually 7

during playoff time, it depends who's playing and when
  • Never less than 7, and 10 for high ticket, high interest items.

Everyone, thanks for your input! Most of it is mid priced modern (50-250 dollar cards). I do have a triple signature card with Jake Peavy as one of the signers...was thinking of popping that one for 3 days since it is coming right after his 16K performance last night.
