My First "Anaconda" Coin

I've always admired the coins, and Brandon's pictures, on the Anaconda Rare Coin website. I finally took the leap and purchased this 1875 20c piece. Super customer service and sent via USPS Express!! image Here is Brandon's description of the coin:

Muted shades of rose are deeply toned over with deep golden tan and russet on the obverse while the reverse displays shades of grey-blue with pale lime green and red. The coin shows impeccable detail and boasts a great strike.

Very nice example and I'm very happy with it. Please guess the grade if you like.image

your 75w halogen looks real nice.
is that what it really looks like or
does the lighting sorta juice the image?

OK, I can't tell whether that is a proof or a biz strike, but I'd say the grade is 64. Very nice pickup. image

Congrats, Lee. Beautiful coin, cool series too. Adrian's always been a class act, and Brandon has made Anaconda even better.

I'd guess AU58 to MS61. That coloration would not be very desireable on a higher grade MS coin imo. But for a crusty AU58 that would be fine. The fields have the look of being lightly handled/circulated.

Nice coin and it does appear to have a really great strike.

Thanks for the compliments, i.e., "Happy Talk",image on this one!!!!! What's also nice is the fact that it's a "P" mint coin which is rarer than an "S" mint. Here is the grade and some larger pics:

AU55. edit: (I made the call before seeing the coin in the holder.)

The coin is quite nice, but those of you who were calling it 64 really need to step back and rethink your approach to grading.

I was seriously considering buying it.... and actually called Anaconda about 2 weeks ago...

Brandon never returned my message, and I ended up buying something else instead image

    Nice buy.

I bought ONE coin from Adrian.

It was a rare date Barber Dime. (I collected them for 2 weeks...I couldn't SEE them. :funnyimage

Anyway, the coin was an NGC MS66* POP10/1.

I cracked it out and sent it to PCGS and it came back as a MS66.

After my "lengthy" dime-collecting episode, I sold it to one of the top Registry collectors at my cost. He sent iot in when he had his entire set regraded and it graded MS67!!!!

    now POP2!!!

That was a nice coin.....I wish the snake dealt in Saints. image
