I guess it's just a bad scan, but the corners could look a little better for a 10.

It's funny but people will pay $4k for ultra-modern cards of players who are NOT in the hall of fame and NOT as rare as this card in a 10... but they may not pay that much for this classic old card!? IF I were going to spend $4k for a card I would much rather have this Snider than a McGwire refractor/game used/autographed/1 of 1/ etc.....

That card should easily be a 9 but no way a 10. The tilt takes away from the "eye appeal" IMO. Don't get me wrong...its a beauty! But I would rather have a perfectly centered 9 with no tilt.

    Yup.

Problem card, unless the buyer wants to hold
it for a VERY long time.

I don't think you can fairly judge this card with the crappy scan. The tilt to me appears that it may be how the card sits in the holder. I think the lessen is if you are going to sell such a high dollar card, it might not be a bad idea to provide a decent scan.
  • I do not think this will pull in 4K. I mean, it sure as hell isn't a PSA 10 1993 Refractor of Rafael Palmeiro (which last sold for $4,500)!!!

That tilt is noticable for sure but what great card!

That's a fine looking Snider card that I would love to own. One of my favorites from his later years. Whether it's graded a 9 or 10 doesn't matter to me, it looks mint and that's all that counts. But no, I don't think it's worth 4k. I would be happy with a sharp 9 for $500 instead.
  • That 10 was a gift.

    Way to go PSA
  • I agree with you Larryallen. I would much rather have a high-end vintage HOF card in a Psa 10 grade. You just can't miss in the long term.

I think alot of HOF pre-1970 cards are undervalued in high-grade.

I think that card is probably drop dead gorgeous and the scan is not doing it justice. $4k is too high though -
