Opinions on this Caballito?

Haven't bought it yet, but have been looking for a nice one.

I've always wanted one but I would not buy from the image you've shown.

The colors are totally skewed and obscure any detail or flaws that might otherwise be relevant.

I've seen many sellers use a background of a certain color and then play with the color/hue adjustment so the coin matches the background- this usually hides all kinds of faults. Not saying this is the case here but be cautious.

I am not wild about the photo... the lighting and the overall appearance of the coin due to those conditions.

Ditto on the feelings about the photo! I just did a quick check and found four of them on eBay by typing in Caballito 1912. Two of them look decent, one looks pretty sad and the last has a really poor pic. Unless the price is really good on the one you are looking at, I would pass on it if it were me (maybe you can get a better pic from the seller)? But that's just my opinion and 2 cents worth, you are the one paying the $$$ for it, not me! Though I have acquired a few 8 reales, Mexico it is not in my realm of collecting. I might consider one of those if the price were right though. Let us know if what you decide and if you pull the trigger and buy it, post a good pic for us to oooohhh and aawwwww over.

Obvious wear on the leg and head. Looks as if it is very baggy and the photo enhanced to hide the marks If you haven't seen it in person I would not be too excited about this one.

If you're looking for a nice one, I'm pretty sure we just got a full date run (save for the key date) back from the services. All are high AU to UNC. They'll be with us at CICF.

CICF, Chicago International Coin Fair. If you need or want it, you will find it here or else it just doesn't flat out exist! I have only been once and this upcoming weekend will be my second visit. My mouth is watering just thinking about the many beatiful German gems to be had! You really have to attend this show at least once in your life! I hope you can make it, if not this year maybe next...

Def. won't be making this one, sounds like a blast though. I haven't been to a coin show since I was in high school! (thats at least 3 I mean 13 years ago.)
