Submission question

I have approximately 10 coins in my type set right now, about 7 NGC 3 PCGS.

To get right to the point - approximately how much would it cost to send in the NGC coins to be PCGS holdered? Please specify if you include shipping or not.

I planned to have them screened by a local dealer first to determine how successful I would be - to avoid throwing away money. I would leave them in slabs - I don't have the guts to crack 'em out and send 'em in.

My logic for doing this is that PCGS coins (like it or not) often yield higher sales numbers, I prefer the slabs, some of my slabs are scratched, and I would like to join the PCGS registry. Although my coins are XF-AU, I enjoy watching myself rise in the standings image

edit: additional information - the coins are US type, and range in value from 300-4000.

    $30 per coin plus shipping.

If they aren't gold it would appear that you would have to send them in under the Regular tier at $30 each as long as they are not individually worth more than $3,000. Your pieces that are $4,000 would have to be submitted as Express Special at $50 each, however, if the $4,000 limit is rather ambiguous, I would assume you might submit them all under the Regular tier. If they go in as one submission you will be charged $14.40 shipping plus an additional fee for insurance on the total. Assuming your total is approximately $10,000 then the total shipping to return the coins to you would be $24.70. If they go in as two submissions, you will be charged two return shipping fees, which would be slightly less individually than what was written above.

Thanks for the help. It seems they will be staying in their NGC holders...

210 for the coins, 30 to ship there, 30 to have them shipped back, some value to pay off my local dealer for the help....

not quite worth it for my purposes image
