Arthur (XanaduNow)... THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Arthur bought a box of 1982 Topps football cards from Steve Hart last summer, and I asked him if he pulled a nice Art Shell. He sent it to me and wanted nothing for compensation except a scan of the card after I got it graded. Well, I finally submitted it, and here it is. I could have sworn it was PSA 10 quality, finding absolutely nothing wrong with it and looking better than other 10s I have but not bad at all. Sorry the scan is a bit blurry- just can't figure out how to clean that up on my scanner. So, Arthur THANK YOU!!!!! again. Very nice addition to my Art Shell collection.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. I believe that Arthur was asked to leave because of a recurrence of a thread that was unwanted here. He is one of the more knowledgeable and nice folks out there. That's only if he really got bammed.

I think, back on April 16th, Arthur had something to say, about Memory Lane. So CU pulled Arthur's growing thread.
I think Arthur re-opened it again, and it seemed that CU again, pulled Arthur's thread, and it now seems clear to me that CU also pulled Arthur?

edit: If I remember, it was something about auction houses reslabbing cards and re-auctioning. The moral of the story, "don't mess with CU's big advertisers". Fair or unfair, we are only guests here.

Just had an electronic conversation with Arthur, and yes, he got bammed.
Arthur seemed like a good guy...too bad

That sucks!!! If anyone is in contact with him, can you refer him to this thread, letting him know this was very much appreciated?
Thanks,

LOL Storm, yes I know that...it was a rhetorical question.

I believe that CarolJ or SportsModerator put it succinctly one time in a post. I am paraphrasing, but the crux was "This is our board, we decide what the rules are, and if you don't like them you do not have to participate. If you break them, we have the right to revoke your privledge of participation. If you want to make the rules, get a server, some BB software and start your own."
The thread still exists, I'm sure, because it wasn't that long ago. This ain't no democracy, folks. Somehow, if you change a few of the words, it sounds like a lecture that I have given my kids.
Can anyone say pooooof!!!
Maybe he can emerge again under a different name.
I didn't read his post and don't know what it contained as far as what was truth or rumor, but come on. We're all smart enough here to know that some dealers are not on the up and up.
I hate censorship.

Yes, Wondo...I remember that too. Again, the question was rhetorical.
Loved that guy Arthur, in classic man crush fashion. I hope to see him again

Exactly and I fully concur.
Ripken, Brooks & Frank Robinson, Old Orioles, Sweet Spot Autos, older Redskins - Riggins, Sonny, Baugh etc and anything that catches my eye.
My ghetto sportscard webpage...All Scans - No Lists!!! Stinky Linky
Maybe if he asks to be reinstated, the CU mods will re-punch his ticket here? Not only did he enjoy posting about non-sports material, boxing, he enjoyed going out of his way to be helpful. And as a bonus, having a sense of humor added a spark of fun to his postings.
And to be bammed for a subject that seemed to have some serious issues (i.e., re-holstering cards and then having them re-auctioned, if I recall) and in my opinion, his postings on the subject were "valid and interesting", and if I recall, he really did not "trash Memory Lane, or other auction houses, or even PSA", but asked some valid questions, which did not seem "out of line" to me.
I think Arthur did not understand when the "board moderator" nixed his thread, not to bring-up the topic right away again! I think the mods "bammed him" then.
He does deserve a second chance, if the CU Mods would be soooooooooo kind! Arthur, if u are reading this and also, if the CU moderator(s) are reading this. Give XanaduNow (Arthur) another chance here.
These boards are much better with him!

My guess is that he isn't the type to go in for a move like that; although, I could be wrong. I'm sure he knew what was going to happen when he put up the post about the man eating bear, and decided to go for it anyway.

I agree. But I was thinking that it was when he put the link to the Net54 thread in his sig line that he knew he was falling on his sword.
I'm going to miss that SOB.
Here's to ya, Arthur!

Guys, perhaps this should serve as a reminder that we are posting on a publically traded company's forum. Promoting conspiracy theories, regardless of how many legs it has, isn't the best idea.
Once, shame on you. Twice, shame on me. Three times and putting it in your sig, that's a bamming
Everyone makes mistakes, nobody is perfect, and hopefully it's a lesson learned.
Hope to see you again, Arthur

Dude, You need to check that statement. Considering everything that has happened recently with Daggett-gate; to accuse someone like Arthur of not being on the up and up is bull.
<< <i>Arthur may have not been what you all thought....Kudos for CU for Policing these boards better! >>
And, to make a comment like that when he cannot respond to it here is taking a cheap shot at him.
I seriously doubt you have any valid statements of a negative nature about Arthur, rather you are just looking for attention. I'd find some other way of doing that.
