With that many misspellings in the auction I would have thought twice...

    "Dwane Wade"
    "Ben Rothensburger"
    "Sandy Kaufax"
    "Mareia Carey"

I was suspect of that thread when I first read it.
Then, I became convinced when I read:

"I found two negative feedbacks that say seller is a crook, but they are older."

That tells me the buyer is indeed "trusting."

The buyer has no easy recourse.

    Mr. Barnum was correct.

I think the buyer is just an f'ing idiot. I don't even feel bad for someone like that. The seller may be a criminal but I think the buyer should be locked up for just being STUPID. A smart guy like DGF would never fall for that kind of scam! image

The recent thread about the 64 Stand Ups shows the right way to do this, the way those knowledgeable buyers did it - you pick it up in person, and pay then, or you don't buy it on ebay for that kind of money. You're goinna spend money like that, you then gotta invest in plane fare and a rental car to see the product. Then take it yourself to a local UPS store center, have it packed and shipped to you.

    It seems so simple.

    Yet, the scams continue.

Agree..... The 64 stand ups transactions was text book on how to handle a transaction involving this much money.

And at the same time it was textbook on how NOT to sell an item of that magnitude.
