Ebay question

Curious what happened here. First off I have a Ebay feedback rating of a 21, I have 3 negative feedback items from late '04 which was my fault all the way, since then I have got A+ feedback and pay for items won as soon as the auction ends with Pay-Pal. About a week agao I spent a day watching a card I wanted. Well about 1 hour before the auction ended I attempted to put a bid on the auction and I was blocked from bidding, after several tries with the same result I attempted to place a bid with other items from this seller and the same thing. I ended up having my Girlfriend set up an account and bid for me, she won the auction and payed without any issues. I emailed the seller and was up front with him about the situation, he was fine with it and did not know why I was blocked, he thanked me for payment and said he would look into it. Has this happened to any of you guys? At first I thought it might have been a seller from the boards here that I dont get along with, but after researching I realized this was not the case. Any info?
Thanks

<< <i>I know that sellers are able to block buyers with unpaid strikes in the past 30 days, feedback below 0. I do not know of a way to block a certain percentage though. Maybe he was one of the sellers that you got neg'd from in 04 and he blocked you then. Other than that I do not know, it has never happened to me.
No this was a seller that I never did bussiness with before, and the 3 neg's I have are from Dec. '04. The seller did email me and told me it was "all set" but offered no reasoning why I was blocked, I left it alone and figured you guys would know more.
was an EBAY glitch.
Based on your scenario, there is no other explanation.
As a seller, I have had folks work around my BBLs. When
it has happened, I deny any knowledge of how the initial
block was entered. I ship the item, hope for the best, and
add a new block IF/After FB is left.
3 old NEGs is bad, but not bad enough to cause me to cancel
a bid. If someone emails and asks nicely to be removed from my
BBLs, I remove them. My lists are so long that it is not possible
for me to know/remember the source of the negative context.
The instant seller's block likely came from an old report he got
from some board back in 2004.
I just set up another account 3 year ago that only buys from 4SC. I have a 6 feedback with 200 transactions. Kind of funny.

This is what might have happened. I know I've blocked at least 10 knunkleheads from bidding on my auctions after reading some posts on these message boards about a buyer being a pinhead.
Like Storm said, it's hard to remember the reasons behind some of the block bidders after some time goes by.
Sorry this happened to you.
