Need advice on 1993 Nabisco All Star Autos

Hello Guys (and ladies)...just picked up a (to me ) mint condition set of 1993 Nabisco All Star auto cards. All six with the Drysdale auto and of course the COA's. Now my question to you...how can I get the most bang for my buck...sell them individually the way they are, sell them as a complete set, or send them to PSA for grading (I am guessing 9, maybe a 10 on a generous day)? Does not look like this set is in the Set Registry either, might make a nice addition? Any ideas? Thanks!!!! John

    A) If you send them in to PSA, you will need to send them to PSA/DNA, as they were signed before 1998. So it will be expensive to grade, and likely not worth it.

    B) The value in the set is in the Drysdale card, given the timing of his death.

My suggestion would be to run two seperate auctions: One of the Drysdale card by itself, and the other with the rest of the set. Or you can sell them all individually.

There is no need to send them to PSA/DNA....Collectors recognize them as authentic. I do like the idea of selling the Drysdale individually and the rest as a group.

Thanks, thats the way I am leaning now. Bought the whole set for $30.00 from a collector of advertising items who apparently knows very little about cards. Perfectly centered and I can't find a blemish on any of the cards....it's deals like this that make the hobby really fun! John

That set was bad luck to be in.

    Stargell
    Catfish Hunter
    Don Drysdale

Not that many players in the set to have odds like that!

Well -- to be fair, it has been 15 years...and Hunter was a Diabetic for many decades, so perhaps less surprising...
