Mo' Coins...some will make it, others won't.

Got in some more stuff this week and went through them with a fine tooth comb. I found a lot of nice obverses but the reverses just won't hold up. What a shame. Did find a nice AH Kennedy though. Might even CAM but not sure at this time.

Nice obverses...crappy reverses...image

This 70 is fairly nice on the obverse except for a few spots. Mainly the carbon spot behind Kennedy's head and no reverse frost.

1971 Obverse is pretty nice....Reverse has some frost but not enough. image

1967 SMS Kennedy...just doesn't have the look and kind of cloudy in the fields.

1969 Kennedy looks real nice front and back.

1964 AH Kennedy. Might have a shot at CAM. I've seen worse that have CAM'd.

1972 Kennedy that could go 69DCAM...spotless gem but they seem hard grading these.

They look great to me. Where are you finding these? Are they singles of are you cracking them them out of proof/SMS sets? Im curious to see what kinda grades you will be getting when you eventually send those in for grading. Good luck!

Going through proof sets is very time consuming. I'm buying on eBay and ask the sellers lots of questions about the sets. I have a helluva lot of raw coins that I do need to get rid of. Mainly what I have done with the coins that have no grading value to me is put them in air-tite holders and group them in denominations in boxes.

I don't know whether to sell them individually or in groups on eBay.

When I do send these in for grading, I really am not expecting them to be registry grade except for maybe two or three. I am hoping I am wrong about that but the reality of it is clear to me of the chances of that happening.

I see coins posted here day in and day out that makes me realize how tough it is to receive high grades in these earlier (pre 1971) coins.
