Is PCGS being very tight on toned coins right now?

At the Santa Clara show a well known dealer in type said that a lot toned coins are being bagged or won’t cross and that this is not a good time to submit toned coins for grading or cross over. Of course I heard this AFTER dropping off my grading submission at PCGS.
Can anyone else here confirm or refute this from personal experience?
If true it could be good—AT coins will no longer be slabbed and the doctors will have to move on to something else.
Or it could be bad—more original coins will get dipped to make it into a slab.

I'm just curious why you cracked them? Is the premium for PCGS plastic enough on those dates to risk getting back a 64? I have a hard time believing that a NGC 65 is worth less or equal to PCGS 64.

I'm sorry, but this is another reason why I think the toned coin (toned commem specifically for me) hobby is not something I am pursuing any longer. Just way to much ambiguity IMO. This month a coin is AT but next month it's NT???

I find that scenario hard to believe...
