May 12th - Heritage Sale - WoW !

Just got done searching through their upcoming sale. Holy crap is about all I can say. I only looked at things that I'm actively looking for and was stunned to see so many of certain coins.
As I'm putting together an 1853 set; I couldn't believe the number of "D" gold for that year all in one sale (there must be a dozen or so). Likely all too pricey for me right now........ maybe.
They also have some sweet toned commems.
Looks to be a good chance for lots of folks for upgrades and acquistitions.
I might need to go into "sale mode" to raise some funds....... but I don't really want to get rid of anything........ Oh well.

dipped out, unoriginal, marked up, parallel line scratches looking like
an old cleaning, etc...
the people stepping up to the plate are getting average to blah material
that just sells by the price guide amount. nothing that stands out.
i think i shall buy a coin from a person here instead of the auction route.
i always did like this person's eye for half eagles.
Didn't wanna get me no trade

I end up giving the catalogs away at shows after looking at the great selections.
<< <i>except for really high grade half eagles, all i see is a bunch of crap.

After spending a large 5 figure amount from other HA auctions..no catalog .....Hello Bowers AND Stack 's
i requested 1 because of the Porter commems being sold - awesome
Was not overly impressed with the 19th century silver type. Though there are a few nice specimens.

<< <i>Does anyone elses catalog arrive looking like it was handled by gorillas? >>
Yep, especially when they try folding those big catalogs and put them in my tiny P.O. Box.
