Anybody know seller "biggtimesports" on Ebay? Need advice.

I won 96 items from them back in February and paid with a postal money order, I got confirmation yesterday that the money order had been cashed. I have not received my items and I have tried to contact them through e-mail about 6 times with no response. I have also called 5 times and recieved a message that the mailbox was full each time and could not leave a message, finally tonight I got an answering machine and left a message.
My questions:

I opened an item not received dispute for every item, what do I do now?

The 60 days are almost up and I am wondering if all the auctions are going to disappear or will I still be able to see them because of the dispute?

Should I start throwing out the negs while I still can?

The amount I sent was $109 and I have $3-$4 tied up in tracking the money order, is this worth pressing charges and how would I go about that?

96 items!!!! betcha that took a while to open disputes for. I would not neg until the dispute is closed. You will be able to see the auctions for ninety days.
  • 96 items in one month!! I only have 15 over a year, of course i don't have access to the paypal password. Still though you were a busy buyer. I don't know what to tell you but goood luck!

Took about four days, I only did so many a night before it drove me nuts. I didn't know what else to do.

b4 you leave any negs. You have plenty of time.

    Note:

Seller I looked at is ......... bigtimesports

There is another one ....... biggtimesports >>

I corrected my post it is the one with two "g"'s.
What makes you think he may have had some crisis, did you see something that I missed? If he did, I understand stuff happens, and I wouldn't hold a grudge as long as I get my cards or the money back.

    BIG seller.

Looks like he is WAY over his head. Too many sales; no time to deliver.

100 NEGs per month. ALL for slow/non-delivery and failure to answer emails.

Just let the dispute play-out. Your cards may be on their way to your mailbox.

    Good for you.

Yes, they were all "buy it nows" for player collections of lesser known players. I asked a couple of questions before I bought the auctions and he responded almost instantly, I thought he would be alright. Now that I look into his feedback, what was I thinking, how does E-bay let sellers go on with that many negs?
  • lots of negatives this month; pretty lousy feedback for his volume.
    i'd avoid him.

46,000 items listed on ebay. That's not a business model I would want to explore. Why would anyone buy anything from a seller with a feedback rating under 97% with that kind of volume? You're only asking for trouble. The seller should change their user name to:
    'Bigtimenegativefeedback'.

I hope you get your money back on your charge back claim.
  • Here is what you need to do - keep all th copies of your money order, and print out the listings from EBAY. End the dispute and move forward to a claim. You'll get an email from EBAY, and you'll need to forward them all of the info. It will take a few weeks, but you will get your money back.

I disagree with the otherts that say hold off, maybe your cards are coming. Sellers like this don't respond, if they will at all, unless they see the CLAIM opened, and EBAY tries to contact them. You have EBAY Buyer Protection that will cover up to $200, less $25 fee...

And I thought sportsvaluez was bad about listing too much stuff and not delivering promptly (or at all) on the goods. image

I find it interesting that when you were going to buy he answered all the emails, but when you had bought he answered none.

I purchased from "biggtimesports" before. Bought a lot of cards, and paid immediately with Paypal. When I recieved my package, there was one card that was not the one I had purchased, and the correct one was missing (though the rest of my cards were in the package). To me it wasn't a huge deal as I figured after receving my message, the seller would either send out the correct card, or refund the amount of that one card. Why would they ignore a multiple purchase buyer over one relatively inexpensive card?
Well, they never even responded, and thus lost the "king of multiple purchases". They also hold feedback hostage so they have been added to my blocked seller list forever.
Bad customer service loses future money everytime--but some sellers just don't care.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

    craig19 is correct.

    I gave you incorrect/incomplete advice.

ALWAYS escalate from a "dispute" to a "claim" as soon as possible.

AFTER that has been done, the chances are good that either your
cards or your money will head you way.

I have his name, address, phone and all that but he doesn't respond, in my book he is a p.o.s. until he sends my cards.
  • They took me as well; paid in full, card NEVER arrived. Luckily for me it was only a loss of $12. I complained to eBay about the seller back then; obvious they are way in over their heads - look at the # of negatives! People should NOT buy from him + eBay should suspend his account!

He NEVER answered any of the emails I sent him; good guy? He might be a nice guy, but hes a horrible business man!

PayPal just refunded my money for 2 cards from Johnny Bigger - he never responded to emails or to the PayPal dispute or claim - and he even relisted and resold one of the cards after I had PayPaled him for it.

His business is getting more and more out of control over time. Do not pay him with anything other than PayPal.

  • How is he a PowerSeller? I thought you had to maintain 98% feedback rating. This is one of the more active negative accounts I have seen. I would never buy from this guy

eBay has a very seller-friendly method of calculating the 98% mark. Only unique positive and negative feedbacks are counted for that - so neutrals don't hurt a bad seller, nor do receiving multiple bad feedbacks

Bigger and Brian Carnathan (discountcardz) were the two worst sports card Power Sellers for not sending you your cards.

PS-Qualifying FB is calculated based on TOTAL POS/NEG FB Rcd.

The subject seller has tons of repeat customers, who have left
non-unique FB; thus, he will forever be at 98%+ on the PS scale.
